Desare Techmanski
KPA CTP
Desare grew up surrounded by animals, and this lifelong proximity to various species fueled a deep-seated passion for training. Her dedication to dog and animal training is driven by a desire to ensure they receive the highest standard of care.
At the beginning of her professional career, Desare has spent countless hours training her own dogs but needed some help addressing behavioral concerns with one of her own animals, and that's when she found A Sound Beginning. Desare loved seeing the progress of her own dogs with the help of A Sound Beginning, and wanted to help others reach the same level of success.
Fueled by her experiences successfully implementing behavior modification techniques with her own animals, she then started shadowing training classes at her local canine sports facility and was accepted into the prestigious Karen Pryor Academy of operant conditioning. Desare now holds her own group classes at A.D.O.P.T. Training for A Sound Beginning in Naperville, IL and is a Karen Pryor Academy-Certified Training Partner. She is also an AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator.
Desare enjoys helping teach people and their dogs and helping them realize how intelligent and nuanced their own animals can be. Her passion for building a greater bond between owners and their pets has guided her career path towards behavior consulting, and her desire to continue to best serve her clients has her constantly pursuing an abundance of continued education opportunities. Currently, Desare has a Rottweiler, two Cane Corsos, two Chihuahuas, and an Australian Shepherd. In her free time, Desare trains her Australian Shepherd in conformation and in rally.
