Jennifer is a certified Karen Pryor Academy Training Partner who believes in using positive reinforcement training methods. Her certification and ongoing positive reinforcement education help ensure you are getting the best training available.
Jennifer earned her MBA in Business from Loyola University Chicago in 1998 and built a career in consulting, sales, and merchandising. Her experience with personal pets and foster rescues deepened her knowledge of dog behavior, motivating her to pursue dog training professionally.
Jennifer’s professional dog training journey began when she adopted a highly fearful dog and wanted to provide the best care possible. When traditional techniques proved ineffective, she contacted the rescue organization, which directed her to a trainer specializing in positive reinforcement. As she helped her anxious dog build confidence through science-based methods, this experience eventually led her to earn her KPA-CTP certification in 2020.
Jennifer believes that helping humans and dogs build trusting relationships will increase the chance of a successful adoption. In her spare time, you can find Jennifer hanging out with her golden retriever, Hope. She encourages her love of clicker training by signing her up for various classes, including Therapy Dog Preparation, Tricks, and Obedience. Hope is often featured in her training videos.
