"Meet Louie! We adopted our bundle of love and energy from the As Good As Gold organization. Some of Louie’s background is a mystery, but we know he came all the way from South Korea and had a couple of foster parents before he came to our forever home. Louie is two and a half years young with a heart of gold. We were blessed in so many ways that he was potty trained, doesn’t bark and is a wonderful comfort dog.
Since Louie was having some trouble with separation anxiety and pulling during our walks we decided to pursue some initial training for him.

We went to A Sound Beginning group training class where we learned many tips and tricks and some basic handling/training. Each dog had his/her own space that was blocked off from each other, so they weren’t able to see the other dogs which was great, (since Louie gets some ADD moments at times :). Many of the skills are very foundational and ideas to grow from. The whole experience was very helpful and informative with knowledgeable and kind instructors.

We also decided to have some one-on-one training with Jennifer. She came to our house for 60–90 minute sessions. This was where we could target areas that we needed more help with so these sessions could be tailored to Louie’s needs. Again, many sound, foundational, very positive approaches to training/handling. These sessions were valuable for both Louie and his humans, since a lot of it included things, we continue to practice at home. We especially appreciated the positivity in the approach to training, and we highly recommend A Sound Beginning training classes."
