Desare Techmanski
| Desare Techmanski KPA CTP Trainer Like many of us, Desare grew up around a number of family pets which inspired a love of animals. Her passions grew to include a keen interest in dog training, in order to provide them with the best possible care. Currently, Desare has a Rottweiler (Nicco), two Cane Corsos (Calli and Iris), along with 3 cats (Mac, Socks, and Bug). Desare had spent countless hours working with her own dogs but needed professional help to address some specific behavioral concerns with one of them. That is when she found A Sound Beginning. Desare loved seeing the progress of her own dogs which that professional support enabled and wanted to help others achieve the same. Fueled by her success in implementing behavior modification techniques with her own animals, she started shadowing training classes at her local canine sports facility, and was accepted into the prestigious Karen Pryor Academy of operant conditioning. Desare now holds her own group classes at Lucky Dog Academy in Plainfield, IL and is a Karen Pryor Academy-Certified Training Partner. She is also an AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator. Desare enjoys helping teach people and their dogs, and helping them realize how intelligent and nuanced their own animals can be. Her passion for building a greater bond between owners and their pets has guided her career path towards behavior consulting, and her desire to continue to best serve her clients has her constantly pursuing an abundance of continued education opportunities. |
