Jennifer Nowacheck
Jennifer Nowacheck, KPA CTP Trainer Jennifer is a certified Karen Pryor Academy Training Partner who believes in using positive reinforcement training methods. Her certification and ongoing positive reinforcement education helps ensure you are getting the best training available. Jennifer earned her MBA in Business from Loyola University Chicago in 1998 and built a career in consulting, sales, and merchandising. With her own animals and rescue fostering driving her continued animal behavior education, her growing understanding of dog behavior and its underlying scientific principles led her to focus on dog training as a career. In adopting a highly fearful dog of her own, Jennifer's journey into professional dog training began by her initial desire to best help her own pet. Realizing that traditional training methods weren’t working, she reached out to the rescue she adopted from, and was referred to a positive reinforcement trainer. Working to help her fearful dog gain confidence using science-based methods, started a journey that culminated in earning her KPA-CTP certification in 2021. Jennifer is passionate about helping rescue dogs find forever loving homes. She has volunteered in various capacities since 2017 with the local golden retriever rescue. Jennifer believes that helping humans and dogs build trusting relationships will increase the chance of a successful adoption. In her spare time, you can find Jennifer hanging out with her two golden retrievers – Raymond and Hope. She encourages their love of clicker training by signing them up for various classes including Therapy Dog Preparation, Tricks, and Obedience. They are also willing participants in many of her training videos. |
