Jordan is a professional trainer and educator who is currently pursuing her KPA CTP status with the prestigious Karen Pryor Academy. Jordan is an Animal Behavior College-certified dog trainer (ABCDT) in addition to being an AKC Trick Title and Canine Good Citizen (CGC) evaluator.
 
Jordan utilizes science and data-backed training methods, rooted in reinforcement and relationship-building with the animal learner. While Jordan also holds a Bachelor’s degree from AIB School of Business in business administration, her early professional career is rooted in early-childhood development. Working alongside children and families, Jordan has a compassionate approach to teaching and understanding, with unwavering patience and support.
 
Jordan has been active in the world of animal welfare world since her teenage years, rescuing and fostering countless dogs (primarily bully breeds) and serving as a consultant and assessor for multiple rescues (including municipal shelters on a county level), as well as acting as a board member. 
 
Jordan also actively competes in multiple canine sports, with an emphasis speed-based sports (courtesy of a very active and fast young husky mix!). Through her years of rescue, Jordan has become familiar with multiple behavioral concerns, disorders, and their treatments. This solid foundation allowed her continued education thereafter to comfortably and effectively assist countless dogs and families overcome serious behavioral adversity, from fear, anxiety, to aggression.
 
Jordan currently stays busy by performing in-home behavior consultations through A Sound Beginning Chicago, and teaching a variety of sport, therapy, and trick classes at Lucky Dog Academy, in Plainfield IL. Jordan stays busy at home with 2 dogs, 2 cats, a menagerie of fish and reptiles, and a very active toddler that sometimes makes her husky mix seem sedentary.
