Xelines Barreto Lugo
| Xelines Barreto Lugo, ABCDT Trainer "Being born in Puerto Rico, I started working with farm animals since I was 10 yrs old. With animals being a passion of mine, I went to College at the Turabo University in Barceloneta, PR, and graduated in 2014 with an Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology. All the while, I did volunteer work around the island for Pet SOS Foundation and Horse and Pony Inc, fulfilling my desire to help animals in need and training large and small animals to aid individuals with disabilities. In 2015 I received my official certification as a Farrier, before moving to Illinois later that year. It was at that time that I started focusing professionally on small animals and began work as Veterinary Technician in at a local animal hospital. After diligent study, I received my Dog Trainer Certification in 2017 from the Animal Behavior College (ABCDT). I started training dogs professionally around 2023 in the Chicago suburbs, and have been doing so happily ever since. I am currently undertaking a mentorship with the prestigous At Your Service Dog Training to specialize in Canine Service Animal Training, while continuing to serve the english and spanish-speaking chicagoland community as a professional trainer. I have always loved helping animals and people, and I see animal training as a well to help owners connect with their companions, creating and cementing the strongest bond and relationship possible. I currently rescue a Belgian Malinois, Tora, that has been with me for a little over a year! Prior to that I had another Belgian Malinois for over 12 years, while having Poodles and German Shepherds prior to that." - ABC Certified Dog Trainer by Animal Behavior College - Associate in Veterinary Technology by Ana G Mendez University System - Certificate Farrier by West Indies Horseshoeing Institute - Fear Free Certified También soy fluente en Español y doy clases en Español. |
